How can I verify your charitable donations?

Such donations are a matter of public record. Our Best Med brand has no problem supplying donation receipts upon written request. In addition, one may contact Riley's Children's Hospital to verify independently if they so wish.

So are you a charity or a for-profit business?

Both. Yes, we do make a profit, however, Our Best Med brand also donates half (50%) of that profit to charity. That's far more than the tax benefit. We use the other half to scale so that we can ultimately donate even more.

Consider how much money the average person has spent in the last 6 months in exchange for something vs. how much was simply donated for nothing in return. What of friends and family? See the point? The best solutions to complex problems are typically hybrid ones.

How, specifically are these donations used?

The money we donate to Riley's Children's Hospital is used to fund research into devastating childhood diseases, as well as cover the cost of treatment for children who's families are unable to afford care. Yes. This is highly important to us. We do business only with reputable suppliers to ensure both the highest possible quality, and that only fair labor is being used. Additionally, our business operates on a "made to order" model. This significantly reduces waste and environmental footprint.

Why was this brand founded? What is the personal significance to you?

Afflictions affecting family hit among the hardest. When one grows up with a quadriplegic cousin stricken with sever muscular dystrophy (think the late and great Stephen Hawking), and the knowledge that this will be an eventual death sentence, many questions are asked of self. Among them, "why," and "is there ANYTHING I can possibly do?"

Then one observes their cousin over the years. Despite not being able to preform the most basic, intimate tasks, like using the bathroom independently, they don't wallow in self pity. Instead, they learn and grow in other areas. They learn to draw and paint with their mouth. They get so good at it, developing such extraordinarily fine motor control in their neck, that they're able to construct spectacular, award-winning pieces of art.

Then there is only one question. "Wtf is my excuse?" If you sincerely want to make a difference, use whatever skills and talents you have to do so. That is the reason for this brand.
